There s being a fan of your alma mater then there is being Jay Hight The Minot contractor is a 1993 graduate of North Dakota State University a school he supports with a passion Just look at the new set of wheels he has for his trips to Fargo it s hard to miss Perry Olson has the story Perry Olson - KX News Don t talk to Jay Hight about this team the North Dakota Fighting Sioux he s not interested In fact here s what is on the back of his new ride oh yeah here is that new ride Jay Hight - NDSU Alum We have been talking for the last few years saying lets buy one of those and make a tailgating bus of our own So can you tell who he cheers for Jay It has definitely been a project When we got it it was red and white and said Darby Tigers on it it came from Montana you just have to have a gameplan That game plan has been about 50 percent completed now it is on to the interior Jay We plan on taking out most of the seats and putting down a maple floor so it looks like a Basketball court We are going to have a small kitchen and a place to eat along with a bar down the middle for the tailgating Perry Olson - KX News AS YOU SEE THE DIVISION ONE CRUISER GOING DOWN THE ROAD YOU MIGHT THINK THAT IT WAS A PRETTY PRICEY RIDE THAT ISN T REALLY THE CASE THOUGH IN FACT WHEN IT IS TOTALLY DONE IT WILL COST LESS THAN A NEW TRUCK Jay You can buy a lot of things on the internet and you just work with companies that specialize in this to get it done as quickly and efficiently as possible Hight had to get permission from NSDU to use the logos and colors but the school had no problem with the plan and it is easy to see why When the interior is done the bus will be ready for the first game of the fall Jay The maiden voyage is going to be the first Football game at the end of August so we have a few months ahead of us to get the thing ready to go That maiden voyage will certainly turn some heads on the highway and have Bison fans all over cheering In Minot Perry Olson KX News Just to rub it in a little more Hight says he ll be making his trips to Fargo thru Grand Forks giving a wave to Sioux fans as he turns south He also says the cost of the project from start to finish should be less than twenty thousand dollars including the cost of the bus that carries with it a 187 gallon gas tank that s where the expense will really come in
