Lady Gaga as Lady Liberty, Year in Fashion Review

Lady G is synonymous with avant-garde fashions. She shows off her over-the-top style, posing as a half-naked Statue of Liberty next to Marc Jacobs on the Fall 2010 cover of V Magazine. Silly and fantastic, why not?

The magazine features some of Lady Gaga’s most outrageous moments in experimental-dress, photos hand-picked by her stylist and best friend, Nicola Formichetti. These include Gaga in vintage McQueen smooching Kermit the Frog at the MTV Video Music Awards and another of Gaga dressed in red latex to meet the queen, Elizabeth II that is.

“She embodies everything V is about, and is also a beacon of the city’s creativity and hope,” said editor Stephen Gan. Don’t know that I’d go that far to use the words “beacon” and “hope” to describe Gaga’s influence on NYC. But “creative” and “daring,” darling most definitely.
